Annual Awards Luncheon: The Annual Volunteer Awards Luncheon
was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in the new community room of the Southside
Fire Department in the Georgetown area. Members enjoyed a great lunch
provided by Delightful Catering, an auction of items donated by members and
the recognition of volunteers for their dedicated involvement in injury
prevention.

Kids Georgia.

The Outstanding Coalition award was presented to Safe Kids Savannah at
the annual Safe Kids Georgia Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA.

"The coalition is comprised of over 50 representatives
from local agencies. Safe Kids Savannah has successful programs because
these agencies collaborate on injury prevention efforts. Officers reflect
the variety of agencies of the Coalition. Committees are established for
risk areas of occupant safety, fire safety, water safety and bike/pedestrian
safety."
