READY TO ROLL
Bike Safety
The single most effective safety device available to reduce head injury
and death from bicycle crashes is a helmet.
Georgia State Law requires children under 16 to wear a bike helmet when
riding a bike on
public roads.
Safe Kids Savannah collaborates with coalition members to hold an annual
bike 'rodeo', an educational event held to teach children rules of the road
and handling of their bike.
Training on 'how to hold a bike rodeo' is available upon request at
912-665-8385.
